Old pic from the gulfstation in stockholm back in the days. 1983 actually.
The young folks didn't have any good place to meet up in the beginning ,but after just a wile they owned the place in Djurgården.
Street race,beers,girls and Hot Rods.
people all over the country showed up just because they loved this,that somebody have done this for real.

The 1982 "blockbuster" Junkman by the wild stuntman H.B. Halicki. This is the second film in his Gone In 60 Seconds trilogy. In the making of Gone In 60 Seconds 2 he tragically was killed by I think it was a telephone pole during a car stunt gone wrong.

A minor part in junkman was played By George Barris!

I´m gonna post some snapshots from Gone In 60 Seconds when I find it in my collection...

"Dishrag" in his red A-roadster & his friends from the A-bombers speed division attended,and many more wild drivers.

I teamed up with Darren with his black A-coupe, chevy powered and four on the floor. Also notice the tire arrangement on Lars -57 Chev stepside, four in the rear for good traction.

Fastest of the day was a crazy dude on a CBR Honda, over 250 km/h! 1/4 mile, on ice! Not to mention the "Kick" did not work well though, was a little bit hard to steer...
